A global manufacturer of custom built electronic components has an immediate need for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in their Shelton facility. They have dedicated 8,000 square feet for their production and assembly operations and are looking for a team player to join their team. Essential shipping duties and responsibilities include the following:
Read internal pick slips to determine items to be gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
Pick items to be distributed and/or shipped.
Create inventory sub-transfers to fulfill order requirements, where applicable.
Verify accuracy of picked items and quantities to be shipped.
Pack and ship items following customer instructions where applicable, and close customer orders in the ERP system.
Print pick slip runs as needed.
Assist with the loading of third party trucks carrying outgoing merchandise as needed.
Maintain shipping area for orderliness and safety at all times.
Essential daily cycle counting duties and responsibilities include the following: Initiate the computer generated random item cycle count daily.
Count all inventory items generated.
Computer input all necessary stock adjustments.
Working hours: 1ST SHIFT
Essential receiving duties and responsibilities include the following:
Assist with unloading incoming shipments from third party trucks as needed.
Unpack and verify all incoming shipments for parts, items, and quantities, distributing items to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
Complete a delivery slip for all merchandise received and route to appropriate personnel.
Put all newly acquired merchandise in the appropriate stocking locations in the warehouse.
Verify all customer returns of merchandise, and distribute to the appropriate personnel as necessary.
Computer input all incoming merchandise shipments as needed.
Create physical locations for all incoming merchandise as needed.
Maintain receiving area for orderliness and safety at all times.
