This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Concord Township, Ohio (about 30-40 minutes east of Cleveland, OH).

Summary The Manager of Assembly will develop and execute operational plans aligned with sales orders and customer needs for Ranpak Automation products.
They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in the manufacturing facility in Shelton CT, including production, production scheduling, quality, EH&S, facility management, inventory management, and tactical procurement functions.
The role will have high focus on customer service, safety, quality, process improvement, global process alignment, and productivity improvement.
Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsible for hiring, training, and coaching employees.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manage the Assembly team to build and deliver Ranpak automation equipment to customers Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
Align with project management across ongoing customer orders, and green-field factory preparation and capability duplication.
Drive safety culture and best practices around safety culture and compliance with all applicable environmental health and safety standards.
Align factory operations with established global processes and procedures for Automation equipment (Europe and Asia).
When established processes don't exist, work with global counterparts to establish best practices.
Align factory operations to support POC (percent of completion) accounting necessary to maximize sales recognition.
Process improvement - six sigma and lean Coordinate with internal and corporate departments to ensure coordination of Production, Purchasing, Maintenance and shipping and receiving to ensure the manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production goals and quality standards Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.
Develop as required and maintain and enforce all plant safety programs and policies.
Maintain optimal level of inventories for production and support departments.
Evaluate department processes.
Recommend, coordinate and execute needed changes based on process analysis.
Assist operations team to implement all business goals through appropriate lean manufacturing methodology and design continuous improvement activities and maintain process control.
Responsible for staff scheduling to include:
work assignments/ machine assignments, shift assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, and shift rotations.
Provide production reports, production tracking measurements and inventory reports Follow cycle counting program Monitor and enforce plant policies and procedures.
Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules.
Select and train plant supervisory and administrative staff.
Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
Supervise staff in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Conduct interviews, hire new staff, and provide employee orientation.
Establish employee goals, conduct employee performance review, provide coaching career development Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels and hiring practices.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university and 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Plus Manufacturing experience and knowledge in plant operation, lean manufacturing and Inventory Control.
Strong working knowledge and hands on experience of ERP systems.
As well as advanced interpersonal and supervisory skills.
This is normally acquired by seven to ten years of manufacturing experience which includes supervisory responsibility.
Computer experience with Microsoft word and Excel Qualifications Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred 5-7 years of manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.
3-5 of those years must be in a supervisory/management role.
Proficiency in plant operation, lean manufacturing, inventory control/warehousing and capacity analysis.
Advanced interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Proficiency with ERP systems, with SAP experience a plus.
Exposure to POC accounting a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
