The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development, solicitation, and maintenance of accounts within the designated market segment(s) in order to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
The key objective of the Senior Sales Manager is to grow incremental and new sales for the business while simultaneously reducing customer turnover.
Responsibilities Assist Sales Team in developing written business plans and sales action plans.
Assist Sales Team in overseeing day to day activity of outside sales team.
Meet with Sales Managers individually on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to review sales pipeline, pace to goal, weekly sales activities and 30/60/90 day action plans Sell within parameter of approved sales plans.
Responsible for achieving sales revenue goals.
Generate weekly sales calls and travel expense reports.
Responsible for making sales appointments and outside sales calls.
Develop and maintain accurate customer and prospect database.
Prepare contracts and quotes.
Attend, network, and present at trade shows, event planner meetings, Chamber of Commerce functions and other community activities.
Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in the hotel industry, tourism industry sales, hotel/convention sales or consumer product sales background required.
Minimum of 3 years experience managing a team.
College degree in marketing or related field preferred.
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills and an ability to assimilate complex data and information from disparate sources and process it to address a certain need or issue in the sales department.
Ability to supervise people, build a team and positively enhance team morale.
Consistent record of achieving and exceeding sales goals in previous positions.
