About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Tax team as a Senior Tax Specialist based in Shelton, CT.
The Senior Tax Specialist is responsible for providing the external tax advisors with the federal information required for the US income federal and state tax returns.
This person will also be working on the worldwide income tax provision.
This position requires a candidate who is organized, can multitask and is responsive to emails.
In addition, this individual will assist on state audits and notices.
This individual will be responsible for processing income and non-income tax payments where necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and filing of the Consolidated Federal Income Tax Return and all the State Tax Returns.
Providing assistance on Worldwide Income Tax Provision.
Supporting any state audits and respond to state notices.
Assisting on providing financial data to support R&D calculation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting or related field.
3-5 years' experience, preferably in public accounting.
Big 4 experience a plus.
Experience in preparing income tax returns - both federal and statePossess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player and work collaboratively as well as independently.
Ability to analyze and compile supporting documentation for tax returns and tax provision.
Ability to multitask and flexibility to adapt to changes quickly.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to research technical issues and problem solve.
Strong excel skills and ability to learn new systems.
Knowledge of Alteryx a big plus.
A natural curiosity to continually update their tax technical skillset.
Continually updating their job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations and researching US legislative changes to keep current.
