HR Generalist, Military Overhaul & Repair

The Military Overhaul and Repair business within Operations has an immediate need for a high-potential, high-energy, results oriented HR Leader to provide HR Client Management activities for a diverse group of exempt and non-exempt employees, located at our Shelton Overhaul & Repair facility. The successful candidate will develop and execute HR strategies to advance business objectives, continuously improve employee engagement and provide high quality HR products and services (including: administration of the collective bargaining agreement, compensation/merit/IC, employee development, performance management/PFT, staffing, diversity initiatives, succession planning/LDR, affirmative action planning). Responsibilities: Provide HR support and serve as a business partner to site manager.Create and manage programs promoting high levels of employee engagement. Manage employee relations and other employee-related programs.Drive process integration, best practice sharing and integrated site approach to HR policies and procedures that support the organizations business objectives.Develop and execute special high visibility HR projects and initiatives.Serve as the primary HR interface for applicable organizations to ensure appropriate HR support, service and counsel is provided.Lead and facilitate change initiatives through the use of HR consultation skills. Provide advice and counsel to managers on a variety of topics to optimize organizational effectiveness.Play an integral role in providing effective employee communication.Manage all site employee and labor relations issues and programsAssist and manage Labor Relations issues as they relate to Collective Bargaining AgreementsServe as a liaison between line supervision and Industrial Relations functionMaintain positive working relationships with bargaining unit workforce, local management and Union officials.Assist in preparation for contract negotiations and participate in negotiating processParticipate in contractual processes such as grievance procedure, arbitration hearings, dispute resolution, and FMLA requestsAssist staffing organization to approved headcount levels, including oversight and processing of job offers and new hire on boarding.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
