Position SummaryUnder the supervision of the Team Leader and with input from the Channel Director, the Category Analyst is primarily responsible for providing the account/market specific analyses used to drive the sales and profit results within their account span of control. This colleague is responsible for managing and leveraging all syndicated data sets, consumer research, and category management tools to maximize brand distribution, positioning, and growth. The Category Analyst is accountable for the volume shipment and consumption results within their span of control.
Accountabilities1. Develop and present comprehensive selling stories designed to maximize brand distribution, planogram presence, and sales growth through the effective use of syndicated data, account POS, and consumer research.
2. Conduct on-going business analyses including account specific reports, business/category reviews, new item tracking, account score carding, and pricing evaluations. This includes (but is not limited to) building and analyzing retailer & syndicated databases to track account consumption, shipments, and profit results.
3. Utilize Best Practice category management templates and tools to conduct Efficient Product Assortment analyses, which incorporate consumption, financial, and consumer measures.
4. Utilize space management software along with account specific syndicated or POS data to conduct space management analyses and to make merchandising proposals that support new item launches, brand distribution gains, incremental space and enhanced positioning.
5. Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of Edgewell Personal Care (and competitive where appropriate) promotions, based on sales, financial, and merchandising results. Clearly communicate key learnings and recommend future actions to Marketing, and Sales Management.
6. Evaluate account pricing relative to the brand's competition and account competition. Make appropriate recommendations supported by strategically sound rationale.
7. Attend and present all above-mentioned selling stories with partner to account decision-maker(s).

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
