Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for partnering with EPC sales and marketing in the planning, forecasting and reporting of actual results related to all aspects of brand investment. This position supports the commercial team efforts to improve return on investments related to promotional activity, while focusing on continuous improvement to drive process efficiencies. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, possess excellent technical skills, with the ability to think analytically while demonstrating the strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact with multiple business partners at varying levels of the company.
AccountabilitiesProvides decision support to commercial teams to optimize sales and profit growth
Plays an integral role in financial planning and analysis
Specific AccountabilitiesMonitor, track and control Brand Couponing, Advertising and Promotional expenditures
Monitor, track and control Trade Promotional spending, customer deductions and checkbook balances
Assist assigned Sales and Marketing teams with monthly forecast lock as well as provide related variance rationale and commentary
Review and interpret monthly results and projections, including risks and opportunities with appropriate business partners and finance management
Support the tools and processes intended to drive improved return on investment related to promotional activity
Maintain and report monthly financial/analytical package for management
Additional accountabilities include approval of promotional activity, preparation of adjusting entries, reconciliation of accrual accounts
Provide input/support for the Annual Business Plan and monthly forecasts
Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in finance and accounting
Minimum 3 years of financial analytical experience
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office ( Excel and PowerPoint )
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
Excellent communication skills ( written and oral )
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements to eliminate non-value added work
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize based on business strategies and objectives
Preferred Skills and ExperienceTechnical experience in Hyperion, SAP and trade promotion management systems
Experience in CPG industry preferred
MBA a plus
Working Relationships & EnvironmentWorking with various levels of Sales, Marketing and Finance departments relevant to the position.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
